Adena is a licensed clinical social
worker in Arizona.
She is also the author of 12 Healing Steps
for Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse; A
Practical Guide, and Practical Tools For
The Treatment of Childhood Sexual Abuse, a
manual for professional clinicians.
Adena has lectured to a variety of
professionals throughout the Unites States on
numerous topics, including; sexual abuse and how
it relates to eating disorders, distorted body
image, sex/co-sex addiction, the cycle of sex
and love addiction, PTSD and dissociative
disorders.
Adena masterfully illustrates the hope of
recovery by sharing her own personal and
professional experiences. She is able to
delicately frame the immense effects and the
lasting scars of sexual abuse and addiction in a way which
integrates what happened with what is happening
today. Her philosophy is "you can THRIVE, not just survive."
